Shoulder Stock for a Colt Dragoon Revolver 1850s 3rd Model Dragoon military contract stock. It has cartouches on the sides of the wrist and "16753/16754" on the buttplate. Fine with mostly gray patina on the metal, mild marks and scratches, and some minor oxidation.

Does anybody know if an 1851 Navy or 1860 Army shoulder stock will fit on a Dragoon? Or how difficult it would be to modify one to fit on a Dragoon? Uberti and Colt Signature Series both make/made Dragoons with the cut outs for shoulder stocks but as far as I know they don't make or never made the stocks.

Top flat has a 3-leaf sight in a dovetail on the top flat near the breech end. Frame is 4-screw type cut for shoulder stock with flat head hammer screw and left front has a small COLTS PATENT over a tiny U.S.. The shoulder stock was a special order item and scarce in this model. There are several versions. The one from the 1850's included a sling swivel in front of the trigger guard.
